Gold Dirt

Following the success of her self released EP, new album Gold Dirt builds on Elie’s unique brand of folk punk. The album opens with poised, reflective, longing, melodic songs and gradually builds into an angsty, uptempo and slightly unhinged second half. Gold Dirt features well- known and talented musicians from the folk and jazz scenes, namely James Delarre (Toppette!!, Mawkin) on fiddle and mandolin, Sam Norman (Benji Kirkpatrick, Jim Moray) on double and electric bass and Laurence Hunt (Eliza Carthy, Lisa Knapp) on drums and percussion. Gold Dirt was produced by renowned record producer Kevin Duncan, who captured a raw acoustic live band sound that gave the quieter songs room to breath, whilst blending perfectly with the full-blown punk outbursts later on the album.

Welcome to Wonderland

Elie’s debut solo EP 'Welcome To Wonderland'  was self-released in 2017.  The songs tell a story of recovery, despair and ultimately liberation.  Written as a concept piece about a particular chapter in Elie's life the music combines rock, punk, folk and jazz in a completely new way.  Edgy rhythms and chord progressions sit under catchy melodies and intense emotive lyrics.  In classic indie fashion ‘Welcome to Wonderland’ was recorded over the course of a year at home but with massive production values added by award-winning producer Lee Richardson (published with MTV, Nike, Sky TV) doing the final mix and mastering by Nick Cooke (former mastering engineer at Sony’s Extreme Music).  Vocals were recorded by Saul Rose (Eliza Carthy and Faustus) with the bulk of editing and recording being done by James Delarre (Jim Moray, Fox Searchlight Productions, Topette!!).  James also played some guitar, mandolin and percussion along with David Delarre (Mawkin, Eliza Carthy) on more guitars and Peter Thomas (Megan Henwood, Worry Dolls) on Double and Electric Bass.
